District Badge - "Bolton" near Manchester in NW England

"The Elephant signifies the cotton which came from India in the 18th Century on which our area built its industry. The Centre is an arrow or 'Bolt' and the bottom of a barrel or 'Ton' which were the earliest industries in Bolton (the making of barrels + arrows that is), hence the name BOLTON."

District Badge - "Abingdon", Oxfordshire, England

"The large cross stands for the medieval Abbey, and the four smaller crosses for the four parishes (Trinity, St Edmund, St Nicholas & St Helen)."

District Badge - "Torridge", near Devon, in SW of England

"The badge shows the old medieval bridge at Bideford, and a leaping salmon, for which the river was very famous. Unfortunately, pollution has taken its toll and the one on our badge is one of a very few left."
